Brewed blending traditional British malts with German Cara Red which creates a blend of malty sweetness and subtle roasted flavours as well a deep ruby red colour.
No less than FOUR hop varieties are used in this beer, each one adding a well-balanced bitterness and a slightly spicy note.

Brewed blending traditional Maris Otter with Crystal malt, which creates a delicious blend of malty sweetness along with caramel and honey.
German Cara Red then gives this ale its deep ruby red colour with a small amount of Black malt for those roasted flavours you associate with darker ales.
No less than FOUR different hop varieties are used in the beer, all contributing to a well-balanced bitterness with a slight spicy note and a very pleasant herbal blackcurrant.
What better name for our rugby red than FOX, a tribute to current Scarlets centre Jonathan Davies; a Grand Slam winner with Wales as well as having over 90 caps for his country and featuring on several occasions for the British & Irish Lions, including being voted Player of the Series in 2017 against New Zealand.
Jon is nicknamed ‘Fox’ after the Fox and Hounds, a popular pub in nearby Bancyfelin that his parents’ ran.
